Today, at the World Equality Association, we organized a seminar titled “Domestic Violence in Education” in honor of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The seminar was led by our member Laila Jarrar, who has served for many years in Social and Psychological Specialties in Jordan. Women from Syria, Palestine, and other Arab countries who have come to Turkey participated.
The main focus of the research was how parents interact with their children, replacing language of violence and rebuke with love and constructive dialogue to foster a healthy personality free from tension and violence. Particular attention was given to what mothers raising sons should be mindful of to avoid raising individuals prone to violence. Participants engaged in discussions and interactions, sharing their views and experiences on child-rearing.
